​Round 3: Launch Ready​

BHCIP Round 3: Launch Ready grant funding awards were announced in June 2022 with a unique collaboration with the California Department of Social Services and its Community Care Expansion Program. Through this round of funding, proposed projects were to be launch ready, required to show they had been through a planning process, and ready for project implementation. To date, DHCS has awarded 44 infrastructure projects totaling $492 million accounting for 72 mental health and/or substance use disorders facilities to support 1,291 new beds and 6,919 new outpatient treatment slots across California.
