BHCIP Round 4: Children and Youth grant funding awards were announced in December 2022. Through this round of funding, DHCS focused on expanding behavioral health treatment services for children and youth ages 25 and younger, including pregnant/postpartum women and their children, transition-age youth (ages 18–25), and their families. To date, DHCS has awarded 50 infrastructure projects totaling $460 million accounting for 69 mental health and/or substance use disorders facilities to support 534 new beds and 8,306 new outpatient treatment slots across California.
