On October 16, 2025, the California Department of Health Care Services
(DHCS) will host a public webinar on the
Community Planning Process under the Behavioral Health Services Act
(BHSA).
The Community Planning Process is the local stakeholder and partner
engagement required for each county’s Integrated Plan under the BHSA. The
BHSA requires counties to submit Integrated Plans for Behavioral
Health Services and Outcomes. The Integrated Plan serves as a three-year
prospective plan that describes how county behavioral health departments
will use county behavioral health funding to impact statewide and local
outcome measures, reduce disparities, and address the unmet behavioral health needs in
their community. Counties must engage with local stakeholders to develop
each element of their Integrated Plan. Full details on the county Integrated
Plan and the Community Planning Process are available in the
BHSA Policy Manual.
During this webinar, which is open to the public, participants will learn
how to get involved in the Community Planning Process, how DHCS
evaluates meaningful stakeholder engagement in the Integrated Plan, and
about resources available to help foster your engagement efforts.
Thursday, October 16, 2025, from 2 to 3 p.m. PDT
Advance registration is required.
