Every person, regardless of income, background, race, or gender, is entitled to quality, equitable health care. DHCS is committed to improving access to care by fostering an equitable, dignified Medi-Cal system that works for everyone.
Actively incorporating the perspectives of members into Medi-Cal program development is essential to furthering health equity. That’s why DHCS leaders are traveling across the state to listen to Medi-Cal members who have experienced firsthand inequity in the Medi-Cal system.
The Health Equity Roadmap Initiative includes a statewide member feedback listening tour and a co-design process, resulting in the Health Equity Roadmap. This roadmap will guide DHCS’ continued efforts to increase transparency and trust among its diverse members.
