The following are links to State Plan Amendments (SPAs) that were submitted to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) for review and are currently pending approval. These SPAs have been submitted, but not yet approved. The final versions may be subject to significant change.
- 24-0003 Proposes
to specify the settings where inpatient psychiatric services for beneficiaries
under 21 years of age (referred to as the “psych under 21 benefit”) can be
provided, which include Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facilities.
- 24-0031 Proposes technical updates to clarify coverage of Behavioral Health Treatment under EPSDT and update who can supervise paraprofessionals.
- 24-0033 Proposes to add and implement an Alternative Payment Methodology, which would provide reimbursement to participating FQHCs on a capitation basis.
- 24-0034 Proposes to increase reimbursement rates for the Prenatal Screening Program and Newborn Screening Program.
- 24-0039 Proposes to eliminate the alternative payment methodology to FQHCs, RHCs, and Tribal Health Programs for COVID-19 vaccine-only administration visits.
- 24-0045 Proposes to extend supplement payment pool through December 31, 2024, for non-hospital 340-B clinics.
- 24-0047 Proposes reimbursement for Community-Based Mobile Crisis Intervention Encounters.
