Contracted Medi-Cal Fee-For-Service Tracheostomy Supplies Updates, Effective November 1, 2024, and May 1, 2025

The Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) recently completed a product category review (PCR) for tracheostomy supplies. The PCR included a review of currently contracted tracheostomy supplies, assessing that the health needs of Medi-Cal members are met and negotiating with manufacturers currently contracted products, reviewed petitions for new products, and reviewed overall pricing of all the contracted products. Products and their corresponding product information, billing codes, and newly negotiated prices will be added or updated on the Medi-Cal Contracted List of Tracheostomy Supplies, effective for dates of service on or after November 1, 2024. The deleted products will no longer be reimbursed effective for dates of service on or after May 1, 2025, and are published on the “Deletions” tab of the List. The MAC price is no longer guaranteed by the manufacturer for the deleted products. The List will be updated on the Medi-Cal website at a later date.
