Distinct Part Facility SB 525 Health Care Worker Minimum Wage Survey
The California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS), Fee-For-Service Rates Development Division is surveying Distinct Part Nursing Facilities Level B (DP/NF-B), Distinct Part Adult Subacute (DP/SA), and Distinct Part Pediatric Subacute facilities (DP/PSA) on wages provided to employees. Facilities are required to submit survey responses no later than December 9, 2024.
Data collected in this survey will be utilized by DHCS in the Medi-Cal rate setting process to reimburse providers for the projected impact of the Health Care Worker Minimum Wage established by Senate Bill (SB) 525 (Chapter 890, Statutes of 2023) in accordance with applicable provisions of the California Medicaid State Plan.

Please submit completed surveys and inquiries related to the survey to email address LTCReimbursement@dhcs.ca.gov. Please ensure “2024 DP Wage Survey" is displayed in the subject line of your email. Please refer to the instruction within the survey for additional detail. Facilities that do not submit the survey by the deadline may be assumed to have no new fiscal impact for rate setting purposes.
Please note that the Health Care Worker Minimum Wages does not currently apply to Freestanding Skilled Nursing Facilities (FS/SNFs) and Intermediate Care Facilities for the Developmentally Disabled (ICF/DDs) and these facilities are not required to submit the survey.
