Early Start - Early Intervention

  • California's early intervention program, known as Early Start (Not DHCS), is a program for infants and toddlers under three years of age with special developmental needs and their families. 
  • For children under age three diagnosed with a hearing loss there is a simplified referral process for the California Early Start Program (Not DHCS).  The referral to the Early Intervention System can be made through the single point of entry at 1-866-505-9388. ​​
