Stakeholder Hearing Invitation: Updated Requirements and Procedures for Diabetes Prevention Programs

On September 28, 2021, the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) will hold a public hearing via webinar to discuss proposed changes to enrollment requirements and procedures for Medi-Cal enrolled pharmacists and pharmacies seeking to provide Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP) services. You are invited to join DHCS staff to discuss these proposed changes.

Please find below the meeting and Webex information:
Tuesday, September 28, 2021

Please register in advance for the Webex meeting. The registration password is PED1. Call-in participants who do not register for the webinar will not be able to make oral public comments during the meeting.

DHCS proposes that these enrolled pharmacists and pharmacies be able to apply for approval to receive reimbursement for providing DPP services by submitting a Supplemental Changes e-Form in PAVE instead of submitting a full application. Please see the draft provider bulletin for more information.

Written comments, questions, or suggestions can be submitted during the hearing. Based on the public comments received, DHCS will publish the final bulletin on the Medi-Cal and DHCS websites. The changes will become effective 30 days after publication.

If you are unable to attend the hearing, written comments received by 5 p.m. on September 28 will be considered prior to publication. When submitting your comments in writing, please ensure the commenter and organization/association being represented are both identified in the comments. You may submit written comments to DHCSPEDStakeholder@dhcs.ca.gov.
