​​CalAIM Concept Paper Presentation

On July 23, DHCS released the Continuing the Transformation of Medi-Cal Concept Paper to outline DHCS’ vision and goals for the next five years, starting in 2027, after key federal waivers that authorize California Advancing and Innovating Medi-Cal (CalAIM) expire in December 2026. The concept paper discusses recent progress, current priorities, and the Department’s long-term vision to strengthen and sustain CalAIM as a person-centered, equity-driven system. The concept paper was introduced at the July 23 joint meeting of the Stakeholder Advisory Committee (SAC)​ and Behavioral Health SAC. A public comment period will run from July 23 to August 22, with feedback accepted via email to 1115Waiver@dhcs.ca.gov.​

ECM & Commu​nity Supports Data Guidance All Comer Webinar​

On April 13, from 12-1 p.m. PT, DHCS hosted a virtual webinar to release new data guidance standards supporting the exchange of information between MCPs and Community Supports Providers. During the webinar, DHCS also shared updates to existing Enhanced Care Management (ECM) and Community Supports CalAIM data guidance based on stakeholder feedback from the first year of implementation. ​Medi-Cal for ​​Kids & Teens Outreach & Educ​ation Toolkit All Comer Webinar​

On March 1, 2023, DHCS hosted a virtual webinar focused on the recently published Medi-Cal for Kids & Teens Outreach & Education Toolkit. The event provided interested stakeholders the opportunity to learn more about the Toolkit, including how it was developed; how consumers, providers, and stakeholders can access the materials; and how the Toolkit will help advance Medi-Cal's Strategy to Support Health & Opportunity for Children & Families. Population Health Management All Comer Webinar: Emerging Practices on the Implementation of Transitional Care Services​

On January 19, 2023, DHCS hosted a virtual webinar on Population Health Management (PHM) Transitional Care Services under the Medi-Cal PHM Program. The event featured a panel discussion on emerging practices for implementing Transitional Care Services for high-risk members in 2023, and an overview of the latest requirements, including the phased implementation timeline. Incentive Pa​​yment Program All-Comer Webinar

On December 22, 2022, DHCS hosted a virtual webinar on the Medi-Cal Incentive Payments Program (IPP). This event provided updates on the IPP program, including modifications to the program timeline and a detailed preview of the measure sets for 2023-24. Office Hours: How Organizations Are Sharing Data for Enhanced Care Management and Co​mmunity Supports

On December 1, 2022, DHCS hosted a virtual Office Hours on Data Sharing for Enhanced Care Management (ECM) and Community Supports. This event is part of a series of Office Hours to address implementation questions from the on-the-ground providers of ECM and Community Supports.
