What are Medi-Cal Connect's latest features?
On March 30, 2026, DHCS released new features and enhancements in Medi-Cal Connect for health plans.
BH-CONNECT Dashboard
Behavioral Health Plans (BHP) can now monitor performance on Behavioral Health Community-Based Organized Networks of Equitable Care and Treatment (BH-CONNECT) Incentive Program measures through an interactive dashboard. All quantitative measures in the Incentive Program are included in Medi-Cal Connect, except for Timely Access.
- Seven new BH-CONNECT measures are now available in the BH-CONNECT dashboard.
- Five Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS) measures have been in the Quality Measures dashboard since November and will be available in the BH-CONNECT dashboard in summer 2026.
- All 22 BH-CONNECT measures will be available in the BH-CONNECT dashboard in summer 2026.
DHCS will use the BH-CONNECT dashboard to monitor
and calculate BHP performance on BH-CONNECT measures. Quantitative measures in Medi-Cal Connect for the BH-CONNECT Incentive Program will tie directly to payments.
Risk, Stratification, Segmentation, and Tier (RSST) Dashboard
Medi-Cal managed care plans (MCP) now have access to an interactive RSST dashboard. Plans can use the dashboard to compare adult and pediatric populations by risk tier, analyze geographic distribution, and compare performance against state averages. The RSST dashboard gives quality teams insights to track trends over time and pinpoint opportunities for targeted outreach and care coordination.
RSST Birthing Algorithm
The Medi-Cal Connect Longitudinal Member Record (LMR) now includes new risk profile pages based on the RSST birthing algorithm. The RSST birthing algorithm and risk profile pages are designed to support improved population health management and care for birthing populations.
The RSST birthing algorithm data will be integrated into the RSST dashboard in June 2026.
