Paradox Program Issues
Very recently two issue within the Paradox program needing addressed have been brought to our attention; one associated with the Provider list, the other associated with Narcotic Treatment Programs, Service Code 48, NRT (All Services).  This information is important to the personnel responsible for completing the Paradox aspect of the Cost Report.  Neither one of these patches will change any data that has previously been entered into the Paradox program.
Provider File Upgrade
A small number of counties have reported that not all the providers are available in the Provider file.  If your county is missing any providers that were listed in the FY 2011-12 cost report and not showing in the FY 2012-13 list, new provider files are available.  The Provider file patch is in a zipped format.  The county is required to download the zipped file, expand the included files, then copy and paste over the files located in the DATA sub directory.
Narcotic Treatment Programs, NTP, Service Code 48, NRT (All Services):
If your county does reports Narcotic Treatment Programs, NTP, Service Code 48 NRT (All Services) then the one-patch file is required to correctly report the NRT services.   For the NTP patch, the programming staff has put together a simple one-file patch required to make the correction in the EXEC sub directory.
Recap
There are two separate patches for the FY 2012-13 Paradox Application for the Cost Report.  The Provider files will be replaced in the DATA Sub-directory and the NTP_Patch will be replaced in the EXEC sub-directory.  These are two separate locations.  Please read the installation information associated with each patch.  If additional help is needed you can e-mail AODCOSTREPORT@dhcs.ca.gov and someone will get back to you as soon as possible.
