Level 1 Screening Upcoming Changes

On June 20, 2024, DHCS issued Information Notice 24-003 to clarify and document the changes to the Level 1 Screening. On September 11, 2024, based on provider feedback, we are making the following changes to the Facility Information Section of the Level 1 Screening:
  • When entering phone numbers, only enter the numbers as the system will add the parenthesis and dash.
  • The phone extension requires five digits, however, if your extension has fewer than five digits, you no longer need to add leading zeros to reach the required length.
  • The text box for entering Medical Plan information will be extended to allow up to 25 characters.

Department of Developmental Services (DDS)

Effective September 11, 2024, DDS will have the ability to upload their three PASRR Resolution Letters (i.e. DDS No Need Letter, DDS Duplicate Letter & DDS PASRR Summary Report) into the PASRR System. The uploaded letters will be visible with the other PASRR letters under the Action column on the Level 1 Cases list.

Kepro Name Change

Kepro has merged with Client Network Services, Inc. (CNSI) and is now operating under a new name as Acentra Health. Effective September 11, 2024, DHCS will officially change the name from Kepro to Acentra Health on the PASRR website and in the PASRR system. The phone and fax numbers will remain the same, however, the email address will change from CAPASRR@kepro.com to CAPASRR@acentra.com. Please note, the name change will not have any effect on the PASRR process. Please reference IN 24-004 for more details.
