BHCIP Round 1: Launch Ready RFA Released
DHCS released a Request for Applications (RFA) for up to $3.3 billion in Bond Behavioral Health Continuum Infrastructure Program (BHCIP) Round 1: Launch Ready funds. These competitive grants will transform behavioral health services for Californians by expanding service capacity and addressing gaps in the behavioral health continuum of care. BHCIP funds the construction, acquisition, and expansion of facilities, and invests in mobile crisis infrastructure. Proposition 1, passed in March 2024, expanded BHCIP, enabling DHCS to award up to $4.4 billion to enhance California’s behavioral health treatment resources. Bond BHCIP Round 1: Launch Ready will make available up to $3.3 billion to construct, acquire, and rehabilitate real estate assets to expand behavioral health treatment and service resources for Californians.
